I vividly remember learning to braid with string and making friendship bracelets. Before Pinterest, I would order how-to hairstyling books from school magazines. I was always getting everyone ready for dances, proms, and sports, and I loved it.
Shortly after attending hair school, I applied to the Aveda Academy in Denver, CO, and I will never forget the day I heard back from my audition—I GOT THE JOB! I jumped into my Ford Fusion and made the trek from SD to CO. Aveda Academy was paramount to the foundation of my career and my career confidence.
I going on 9+ years of owning my own business and I wholly cherish myself, my friends, and my family for helping me get to this point. Small-town-farm-girl-turns-big-city-business-owner. (It just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?)
I am beyond passionate about my career, and love to help other young entrepreneurs with the same passion feel confident in their business. I live for customizing hair color to fit my clients' personalities and lifestyles, while also helping to educate on the "being your own boss" business model that so many cosmotologists pursue.
I grew up in rural Groton, South Dakota, the second daughter of a farmer and a nurse. My dad is an industry entrepreneur, and my mom is a dedicated caregiver.
I am both an entrepreneur and a caregiver, thanks to my parents' example. I always knew I wanted to be a hairstylist from a very young age. I grew up going to those "ma & pop" shops. I love being a small business focusing on your lifestyle, goals, hair, and experience. I look forward to helping you achieve more effortless good hair days.
